Are Hiphop Festivals Still Relevant In the present Music Industry?

It has been quite a long time since I participated in a Hiphop festival or any kind music convention. I just attended the A3C Hiphop Festival in Atlanta, GA and that i was glad I went. Really should be fact the last Hiphop festival I attended was the first A3C Hiphop Festival where I performed with my group Prophetix. Hiphop

Having attended and performed in leading festivals like the CMJ Musicfest in Nyc, I knew the kind effect these festivals dress in an artist's career. These events usually serve you for a few days and there are many performers and the possiblility to network. I have watched the A3C Hiphop Festival grow into a big annual event and today there are music business panels, seminars and workshops. It started out just being live performances.

If you are not performing, you can still go to network and meet newer and more effective people. You will never know where you might run into these folks again and what kind of effect you possessed on them the moment you met. Music

This season I went as someone who enjoys good Hiphop music. I'm not really just referring to the commercial music which is played on the radio constantly nevertheless the classic music that made Hiphop not simply a great and powerful genre however a great and powerful culture also.

Here is some advice I could share that I learned in the past of attending Hiphop festivals:

1. You shouldn't be afraid to talk to the celebrities

In case you are serious about being in e-commerce, you are going to have to approach people of celebrity status. I learned in the legendary emcee GURU from Gangstarr (R.I.P.) how you can conduct myself when approaching celebrities. They're people with eyes, ears, and skin like everyone else and I. Be respectful and make sure they know how you feel about their music along with overdo it.

2. You shouldn't be afraid to network

If you're not performing on the stage or somewhere choosing a restroom break, you need to be building new relationships and strengthening old ones. Since I am from Atlanta, I knew most of the people that were already element of the local Hiphop scene however, many of my best experiences originated meeting new people from all over the country. With all the ways to stay in contact with people today including Facebook and Twitter, you would be maximizing your admission fee by letting some solid, relevant connections.

3. Do not be afraid to have a terrific time

I can not remember one festival I attended where I did not have a ball. The seminars and panels are excellent but the best part would be the live performances. Good music is fantastic to hear live. When the rapper on stage says, "Throw ya hands from the air", do not be afraid to acheive it. As a matter of fact, require a cue from Nike and "Just Do It!" Why be concerned if you can not have fun?

Go to a music festival. Meet some new friends at the concerts or offer to help remedy someone for lunch. You will not ever know what can happen should you not get out and see on your own.
